Hooray for Harpywood American Harp Society Preview by David Ice

I've been in an unique position, in that I am pretty sure I'm the only professional harpist who has also been a professional film editor in Hollywood. Over the years I've collected and compiled a lot of clips about how the harp is used in motion pictures--both on-screen and off. I was asked to create a short preview of a future presentation. I do not own any of these clips, and they are used here truly as an educational tool. Very few people understand the complexity of film scoring and film sound, and the purpose of my live presentation is to illustrate and inform harpists of the true genius that goes into creating film soundtracks. This short preview gives a peek at this presentation. And yes, it's okay to laugh!
